slab slump mold

plan:

- cut out some clay from wedged clay

- then roll it out on the roller

- find a plat that I can put the slab on

-put the slab on the plat then get a wet sponge then smooth it out

IMG_0073 (1).jpg

Reflection: This was my first time ever making a peace like this. It was really fun to make. It was fun to take the sponge to it and make it smooth. The hard part of making this peace was rolling it out to the right size. The first time I made it, it was way too thin.

sgraffito

plan:
-I am going to get a slab of clay from outside
- then I am going to Weg the clay
-then I  am going to make a pinch pot
-once I do that I am going to glaze it
-after its glazed and fired then take a toll to it and make designs in it

IMG_4753 (1).jpg

Reflection: I really enjoyed making this peace. It was one of the best pinch pots that I have made. It was all so my first time making a sgraffito pace. I'm sorry I never got the final picture of it, but it turned out good.

-get some clay from out side then sart wedging the clay
-then roll into a ball
-make a coil that is the base
-hope that they are not to thic
-then fire

IMG_4714 (2).jpg

Reflection: I did not really like making this peace. It was really hard for me to make the coils small, and the top of the peace was the worst. I would like to make another peace like this in the future and make it better. Overall, it turned out okay.

-roll out a slab then cut it into a hanlde
-then put it on a pinch pot
-after all of this fire it then glazz it

IMG_0055 (1).jpg

Reflection: I thoughtthis peace would noto turn out the best. beacuse i thoght that i made my pinch pot to big for the handle to acatch onto. but it turned out ok. the hardest part of this peace was the hanble, my pinch pot was to thick so i had a hard time putting the handle on it would not stay on.

-once i do that then i am going to have to put all of them together, then I am going to have to score and slip them together.
- after all of thsi fire them

IMG_0082.jpg

Reflection: This was my first time making a lidded box. I wish the sides of the box had turned out better, but it's okay. I realized I needed to smooth out the box more, but I didn't. I like the colors it ended up with, and I will probably make another one if I get the chance.

series of 4 plates

plan: -go out side to grab clay
-then bring it back inside

-go out side and find a plate that is not to big or not to small
- once i find a plate put the slab on the plate
-then smoth it out
- let it get hard then fire it

IMG_0134.jpg

Reflection: I had a lot of fun making these plates. It took about six plates to be perfect. The glaze that I used turned out to be cool. The first plate was the best one; the other ones did not turn out as good. I am definitely going to do this again.

Reflection:over all this peace was pretty easy to do it was pretty fun making a peace that someone drew up and being abol to make the peace come to life. if i was to do it agian i would spend more time on the teeth and the arms. i am going to paint it red in balck because that is the colors that the perosn drew on there paper.
